Job Title: Instrument Maintenance Technician I
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled Instrument Maintenance Technician to support safe and efficient offshore operations through effective installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrument and control systems.
Main Functions
- Responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting instrument equipment in compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of instrument and control systems
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, Permit to Work (PTW), and company procedures
- Support operations, engineering, and projects teams to ensure equipment reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues in a timely manner
- Participate in inspections, new installations, and system upgrades
- Support Management of Change (MOC) processes for control-related equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
- Act as standby support for Instrument Lead when required
Requirements
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Technical training in instrumentation/controls is an advantage
- Experience in instrument maintenance within oil & gas processing or offshore environments
- Familiarity with HSE standards and permit-to-work systems
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Safety-focused with high attention to detail.
