We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Coating Inspector
Location: Idi-Oro, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect surface preparation (blasting, cleaning) to required standards.
- Monitor coating application in line with approved procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Carry out and document tests such as DFT, WFT, adhesion, and holiday testing.
- Ensure all coating activities comply with project specifications and QA/QC requirements.
- Identify defects, raise NCRs, and follow through on corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit accurate inspection reports.
- Work closely with QA/QC team, contractors, and client representatives.
Requirements:
- HND / BSc Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in coating inspection within EPC or oil & gas projects.
- NACE Level 1 or 2 certification.
- Good understanding of standards such as ISO, SSPC, ASTM.
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools (DFT gauge, holiday detector, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
