Beem Farm Foods is a fast-growing food processing and protein brand serving thousands of households across Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Orile, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Production
Reports To: Operations Lead / Kitchen Supervisor

Job Summary

  • The Kitchen Assistant supports daily production activities by ensuring proper preparation, handling, and cleanliness of all food products.
  • The role is critical to maintaining quality standards, hygiene, and timely fulfillment of customer orders in a fast-paced, order-driven smoked protein kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Processing:

  • Assist in washing, sorting, and preparing raw meat (chicken, turkey, goat meat, fish, etc.)
  • Carry out marinating and seasoning according to standard recipes
  • Support boiling and pre-cooking processes before smoking
  • Ensure proper portioning, bagging, and labeling of Work-In-Progress (WIP).

Production Support:

  • Follow daily production schedules for both pre-orders and same-day orders
  • Assist the smoker by preparing proteins ahead of the smoking process
  • Ensure timely movement of products through each production stage
  • Support batch identification and labeling for traceability.

Hygiene & Sanitation:

  • Maintain strict cleanliness of kitchen, tools, and work surfaces
  • Carry out daily cleaning checklist (floors, tables, utensils, drainage areas, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Work Structure:

  • Monday to Saturday (8am – 5pm) with 1 day off
  • May be required to work weekends and peak periods (e.g., festive seasons).

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE qualification
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food production environment is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Team player with good communication skills.

Salary
N60,000 – N80,000 / month.
