We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head of Business Development
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Purpose
- The Head of Business Development will lead revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships across the Tech, Service, and HealthTech ecosystem
- The role focuses on scaling digital solutions, driving adoption among healthcare providers (e.g., hospitals, clinics, doctors), and building sustainable B2B and institutional partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Market Positioning:
- Develop and execute a scalable growth strategy for digital products and service offerings
- Identify high-impact opportunities within healthcare systems, corporates, and service-driven sectors
- Position the company as a leading provider of tech-enabled healthcare/service solutions
Revenue Generation & Sales Leadership:
- Drive aggressive revenue targets through enterprise and B2B sales
- Oversee customer acquisition strategies targeting healthcare providers, institutions, and service users
- Ensure consistent conversions and revenue growth across all sales channels
Sales Pipeline & Performance Optimization:
- Establish a structured, data-driven sales pipeline management system
- Maintain a minimum 20% pipeline-to-conversion rate across teams
- Monitor weekly performance metrics (proposals, meetings, conversions, deal value)
- Drive recurring revenue through subscriptions, retainers, or platform usage models
HealthTech & Institutional Partnerships:
- Build strategic partnerships with hospitals, HMOs, clinics, pharmacies, and healthcare networks
- Lead negotiations with institutional clients including governments, NGOs, and private sector players
- Develop go-to-market strategies for onboarding doctors and healthcare professionals onto the platform
Product-Market Alignment
- Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to align solutions with market needs
- Translate customer feedback into product improvements and innovation opportunities
- Support go-to-market launches for new features or services
Customer Success & Retention Strategy:
- Develop frameworks for onboarding, engagement, and retention of users (especially healthcare professionals and service users)
- Monitor churn indicators and implement proactive retention initiatives
- Ensure continuous value delivery through training, support, and engagement
Team Leadership & Capability Building:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing Business Development team
- Embed a performance-driven culture using OKRs and KPIs
- Build internal capacity in B2B tech sales, consultative selling, and partnership management
Data, Insights & Reporting:
- Leverage CRM/ERP systems to track pipeline, customer journeys, and revenue metrics
- Provide strategic insights based on data trends, customer behavior, and market dynamics
- Report performance to executive leadership with actionable recommendations
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue growth (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Number and value of institutional and enterprise deals
- Platform adoption rate (e.g., doctors, users, organizations)
- Conversion rate (minimum 20%)
- Customer retention and lifetime value
- Strategic partnerships established
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or related field
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
Experience:
- 8–12 years experience in Business Development, Sales, or Growth roles
- Strong experience in Tech, HealthTech, SaaS, or service platforms
- Proven track record in closing enterprise and institutional deals
- Experience working with healthcare stakeholders is a strong advantage
