Job Title: Head of Account

Job Summary
- Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounts to lead our Accounts Department and drive financial excellence in their investment and lending business.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and leadership, with experience in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance in a similar industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Accounts team in preparing and managing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (CIFMIS, IFRS, etc.)
- Manage loan portfolio accounting, including loan disbursements, repayments, and provisions
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, reconciliations, and financial close
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls
- Collaborate with Risk Management and Business teams to manage financial risks and optimize returns
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making
- Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, ICAN, or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in a financial institution or similar industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS), financial regulations, and lending operations
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks Oracle, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 / month.
