Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Gbagada, Lagos

Job Description
- JMG is seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our operations team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials safely and efficiently.
- This role plays a key part in supporting smooth warehouse operations and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Forklift Operation:
- Operate forklift equipment to move materials within the warehouse or production area.
- Load and unload trucks,and containers safely and efficiently.
- Stack, organize, and store materials in designated locations.
Warehouse & Inventory Support:
- Support daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and ensure materials are correctly labeled and recorded.
- Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and reporting any discrepancies.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform daily safety checks and routine maintenance on the forklift.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or near miss incidents immediately.
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous or fragile materials where applicable.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete required records such as delivery notes, material movement logs, and inventory forms.
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum of SSCE / High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Additional technical or vocational certification is an advantage.
Experience:
- 2–4 years proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar warehouse/production role.
- Experience operating forklifts in manufacturing, logistics, industrial services, or FMCG environments is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Valid Forklift Operator
- Ability to operate forklifts safely
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle physical tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods.
