Job Title: Farm Veterinarian (Poultry)

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a competent and proactive Farm Veterinarian to oversee the health, welfare, and productivity of poultry operations.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure optimal bird performance through proper disease prevention, treatment, and biosecurity management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the health status of birds across all pens
  • Develop and implement vaccination and medication schedules
  • Diagnose and treat diseases promptly to reduce mortality
  • Ensure strict biosecurity measures are maintained on the farm
  • Supervise farm attendants on proper animal handling and hygiene practices
  • Maintain accurate health and treatment records
  • Advise management on best practices for improving bird performance and productivity
  • Work closely with operations to ensure optimal feeding and environmental conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field
  • 2–4 years experience in poultry or livestock management
  • Strong knowledge of poultry diseases and farm biosecurity
  • Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proactive, reliable, and hands-on.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 per month.
