We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: full time
Job Purpose
- The Business Development Manager will drive customer acquisition, sales execution, and relationship management for tech-enabled services, with afocus on onboarding healthcare providers, users, and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales Execution:
- Send at least 5 tailored proposals weekly (20 monthly) targeting healthcare providers, corporates, and service users
- Conduct a minimum of 4 client meetings weekly (virtual or physical demos of the platform/solution)
- Identify and nurture 1–2 high-potential leads weekly (e.g., hospitals, clinics, HMOs, corporates)
- Achieve at least 1 conversion every 2 weeks
- Drive onboarding of doctors, healthcare providers, and end-users
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Maintain and update pipeline weekly using CRM tools
- Add at least 5 new qualified prospects weekly
- Drive closure of at least 1 recurring deal weekly (subscriptions, service contracts, etc.)
- Track and maintain a 20% pipeline-to-deal conversion rate
Market Outreach & Sector Expansion:
- Execute one targeted outreach campaign weekly (email, social media, direct engagement)
- Initiate at least one new partnership conversation weekly within healthcare and service sectors
- Identify opportunities in new verticals (e.g., telemedicine, diagnostics, wellness services)
Upselling & Revenue Optimization:
- Identify at least 2 existing clients weekly for upsell or cross-sell opportunities
- Engage institutional clients (hospitals, NGOs, corporates) for higher-value deals
- Track deal size improvements and revenue growth in CRM/ERP systems
Customer Engagement & Success:
- Conduct weekly check-ins with 2–3 customers to ensure satisfaction and usage
- Collect structured feedback from at least 3 users weekly
- Support onboarding and training of healthcare providers and users
- Ensure clients understand and maximize the value of the platform
Client Education & Adoption:
- Deliver product demos and training sessions (bi-weekly)
- Develop simple educational materials to improve user adoption
- Support digital adoption among less tech-savvy healthcare providers
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
- Submit weekly reports on pipeline, conversions, and activities
- Track performance against OKRs and sales targets
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of healthcare providers/users onboarded
- Proposals sent and meetings conducted
- Conversion rate (minimum 20%)
- Number of recurring deals closed
- Revenue generated and deal growth
- Customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or related field
Experience
- 3–6 years experience in Business Development or Sales
- Experience in Tech, HealthTech, SaaS, or service-based environments
- Experience selling to healthcare providers or institutions is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong B2B and consultative selling skills
- Ability to explain technical products in simple terms
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Tech-savvy with CRM tools and digital platforms
- High level of resilience and target-driven mindset.
