Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Description

• A recruitment company located in Victoria Island is seeking for immediate employment a Junior Accountant with experience in the retail or manufacturing sector to support the finance team in managing daily accounting operations.

Job Description

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting.
• Perform bank, vendor, and account reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment reconciliation.
• Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and cost tracking (especially relevant for retail/manufacturing operations).
• Maintain and organize financial records, receipts, and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting when required.
• Assist with auditing and internal control duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance.
• 2 – 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of inventory accounting and cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Salary
N250,000 monthly.
