We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fiber Installation Support Technician

Location: Lagos  
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist fiber installation teams with day-to-day deployment tasks.
  • Run and pull fiber optic cables through ducts, trenches, and buildings.
  • Lay and secure HDPE ducts and conduits.
  • Remove interlocks and other physical obstructions on-site.
  • Support thrust boring operations and other trenchless installation techniques.
  • Perform physical groundwork as required during fiber deployments.
  • Be on-call and readily available to respond to urgent assignments, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ensure tools and materials are properly used, stored, and maintained.
  • Follow all company and industry safety protocols during fieldwork.
  • Coordinate effectively with the field supervisor and back office on deployment progress and issues.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in fiber installation or civil works.
  • Familiarity with tools and techniques used in cable pulling and duct installation.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and readiness to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Must be reachable by phone and available to report to the field on short notice.
  • Safety-conscious with knowledge of basic HSE practices.
